Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the sale and installation of products by Weald Windows Ltd (Company No. 12345678), registered at Unit 5, Clock House Farm, Heath Road, Maidstone, ME17 4PB. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your order will apply to that transaction.

Orders & Pricing

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT at the current rate and are subject to a site survey or signed order sheet confirming the final specification.

An order is not confirmed until we have received a signed order form and the required deposit payment. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

What's Included

  • Supply of products as specified in your quotation
  • Professional installation by our in-house team (where agreed)
  • Removal and disposal of old frames (where agreed)
  • Internal and external finishing (silicone, trims, cills - where agreed)
  • Registration of all replacement windows and doors

Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% is required on order. The remaining balance is due one week before installation, and prior to our team commencing work. We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, or credit card.

Delivery

Lead times vary by product type and specification and subject to chnage. Typical lead times are as follows:

We will confirm an installation date once your products are in production. We aim to give at least a two week notice before your installation date.

Installation

All installations are carried out by our in-house fitting teams. We do not use subcontractors. A typical window installation takes one to five days; larger projects may require more time, which will be agreed before starting.

We ask that you ensure clear access to all work areas on the day of installation. Any items near windows or doors should be moved prior to our arrival. Our team will lay dust sheets to protect flooring and furnishings.

Guarantee

All products and installations come with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee as standard. This covers manufacturing defects in frames, glass units, and hardware, as well as any installation-related issues.

The guarantee is registered with an independent insurance provider and is transferable to a new homeowner should you sell your property within the guarantee period.

What's Not Covered

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidental impact
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. hardware lubrication, seal compression)
  • Alterations or repairs carried out by third parties
  • Condensation between panes caused by seal failure after Year 5 (covered separately under glass unit warranty)

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of signing the order form. To cancel, please notify us in writing by email or post.

If products have already entered production at the time of cancellation, a charge may apply to cover manufacturing costs incurred.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the order and contract. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Weald Windows Ltd holds public liability insurance of £5,000,000 and employer's liability insurance of £10,000,000.

Complaints

We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve any issues promptly. In the first instance, please contact our customer service team at [email protected] or 01622 947 133.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to the Glazing Arbitration Scheme or the relevant ombudsman service.
